Say cheese! 

The last two weekends in November (22,23,24 and 29,30, 1 Dec) we organise a cheese fondue weekend! Imagine yourself in the Swiss Alps with a classic fondue or step out of your comfort zone and try the Funky Fondue? Come and enjoy by candlelight.

In our modern brown eatery, we will soon welcome not only delicious food but also an indispensable addition: an atmospheric pub quiz! We are extremely excited to start as soon as possible with a monthly cozy evening full of fun and varied rounds of questions. Both the seasoned quizzer and the newcomer will soon be welcome with us. 

After the success of last year, we will certainly go out on the water with everyone again this year. Two jacuzzis on the terrace this year? We are still enjoying the last rays of sunshine and secretly already looking forward to warm cocoa with rum!

On 27 October, we will start at 4:00 PM Gooische vrouwen! With a deal of a bottle of wine and a snack platter, we will toast with each other to the return of our top women!

All around Amsterdam, people will be playing the Great Amsterdam Pub Quiz between 30 September and 13 October 2024 at more than 100 locations in the city. The winning team from each location can proceed to the final! Will you come and win our final ticket?

If the weather permits, we will have a BBQ again, if not then the delicacies will just come from our kitchen inside! Think meat and vegetarian bratwursts, potato salad, Brand Weizen. Are you coming in lederhosen?? Then you get a Weissbier on us as a gift!!

We serve a VEGAN three-course menu that evening for only €24. And remember, on World Animal Day we serve no meat all day! Are you coming over for a lovely lunch, dinner, or just a nice drink? As always, four-legged friends are welcome!!

Steak Friday at Café Kanis

Friday, 25th July is the celebration at Café Kanis with the special Steak Friday! For just €65.00, you and a friend can enjoy a delicious steak with sides!

The highlight of the evening is the fantastic 500-gram rib-eye, perfectly grilled and full of flavour. The juicy steak is served with a rich jus, which gives the meat even more depth and is a true treat for lovers of good meat. To balance the meal, you also get a fresh salad.

Come and paint boiled eggs on the first and second day of Easter! For the kids with an apple juice or pear juice for €4.50 per child. For the parents: 2 mimosas for €10,-  

Furthermore, from March 25 to April 7, alongside our current menu, we will also serve a special Easter menu. We will keep the details under wraps for now, as Chef Kjelld is busy with trial baking. However, we can share: white asparagus as a starter, main course, and dessert!

KNSM-eiland is participating on Sunday, 4 February in the musical "Gluren bij de Buren" event. Different island residents will transform their living rooms into a small stage for an evening. To conclude this pleasant day, we are organising a drink at KANIS between 4:30 PM - 10:00 PM.

From 5:30 PM there will be live music!

Will you join us to continue the fun with tasty snacks and drinks? During the after-drink, you can get two glasses of Heineken and a small nacho for just €7.50!  

Also, the after-drink is our last one before we start our renovations. These will last until approximately 28 February.

Dive into the new year with us on January 1st! From 2:00 PM sharp, we'll ring in the new year with a dive off the jetty. Prefer to stay dry? Warm up indoors with mulled wine and pea soup, or have a glass of bubbles in the hot tub. Of course, Dutch doughnuts (Oliebollen) should not be missing!

The first 50 brave souls to face the cold water will receive a chic hat!

Our lovely bistro offers us a lot of space for fun events, both inside and outside. We are particularly looking forward to organizing wine tastings! Where we immerse you in everything to do with delicious wine, starting with the process from grape to bottle.
