BREAKING: From January 2024 we are the new owners of Kanis. A renovation is scheduled for early February to tackle the bar and kitchen so that we can work more efficiently and faster and, not least importantly, make KANIS look even better! We are also (re)introducing the bitterball at KANIS, both meat and vegan!

In the vibrant KNSM Island, amidst a mix of modern architecture and historic charm sits Kanis, a warm and modern brown cafe. Our beautiful waterfront location features a dock where you can moor your boat. The spacious terrace faces south, making it the ideal place to have a drink and snack in the sun. At Kanis, we're not just a cafe where you can enjoy a delicious lunch and cozy drinks during the day, but also in the evenings. Our International dinner menu changes regularly, keeping you surprised with delicious flavors!

In March, we once again offer the opportunity to sit on our sunny terrace. For the adventurous among us, we even offer the possibility to rent stand-up SUPs. So you can also actively discover the Eastern Islands from the water, a unique part of Amsterdam.
